First Civil Defence graduation ceremony held.

Manama, Aug 27 (BNA): Civil Defence Director General Brigadier Mohammad Abdulkarim Shwaiter has patronized the first graduation ceremony of civil defence personnel.

The ceremony witnessed the graduation of 76 newly recruited policemen at the Civil Defence School.

Brigadier Shwaiter underlined the follow up of the Interior Minister Lt-Gen Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and his directives to constantly develop modernization programmes to uplift the personnel's aptitudes to highest levels.

He lauded the graduates' training efforts, appreciating the efforts of the officials of the Civil Defence School. He urged the graduates to uphold the civil defence humanitarian objectives.

Civil Defense School Commandant Colonel Abdulaziz Al-Amer, in his speech, said that the training courses are held in accordance with the annual plans to keep up with the great development witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields. They also aim to prepare a new civil defence generation capable of dealing with various circumstances by following technical and scientific manner, and to protect lives and national gains and achievements from all threats.

The course included training the participants on ways of providing security and safety services for citizens and residents, dealing with various domestic accidents, the use of safety and security equipment (fire, rescue and first aid). It also included night drills and conducting field visits to several leading industrial companies.
