Fireworks unlikely.

FOOTBALL HUDDERSFIELD and Derby round off the opening weekend of EFL action when they meet in the Sky Bet Championship but there are unlikely to be fireworks in Yorkshire, writes Liam Flin.

The Terriers managed only 22 goals in the Premier League last campaign and their lack of potency in front of goal was underlined by January addition Karlan Grant finishing as their top scorer with only four strikes in all competitions.

The drop down in division and signing of Josh Koroma should ensure they are not as wasteful in the final third this time around, but punters should not expect their meeting with the Rams to rain goals.

County themselves will need their forwards to compensate for the 27 goals scored by loanees Mason Mount and Harry Wilson last season and new boss Phillip Cocu may adopt a cautious approach as he looks to find his feet in English football.

Both sides have undergone summers of transition and with a cagey affair on the cards, punters should look to sell the total match goals at 2.4 with Sporting Index.

Recommendation Sell total goals in Huddersfield v Derby at 2.4 Sporting Index
