Firework tribute to Obang gaffe.

A NEW firework is to be created to honour Oban after the town's astonishing 50-second display bungle.

The pounds 6000 display on November 4 was meant to last 20 minutes - but everything went off at once after a technical bungle.

It became a hit on YouTube - and the firm behind it are being asked for repeat performances.

Organisers Pyro1 last night put on a second show as an apology.

Operations director Martin Allen said: "We are now looking at designing a really fast firework that lasts for 10 seconds and will be called the Obang."

Local councillor Louise Glen-Lee said: "We took 50 seconds of firework and turned it into something positive for the town."
