Firemen's Insurance renews

Firemen's Insurance of Washington, DC has renewed its lease for 7,100 square feet of space at University Plaza III on the Hackensack campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Firemen's Insurance, a regional division of the insurance holding company, W. R. Berkley Co, has been a tenant at University Plaza since 1986. The insurance firm recently renewed its lease, according to Richard Baumstein, senior director, Thomas A. Reilly, associate director, and Jon Meisel, the Cushman & Wakefield brokerage team that represented the landlord in the transaction. Craig Kerbekian of Hekemian & Co. represented the tenant.

One of the largest insurers of luxury condominiums and cooperatives in the metropolitan area, Firemen's Insurance will continue to operate a regional division office from this prestigious Bergen County office park.

University Plaza offers easy access to nearly every major roadway in the state including Interstates 80 and 95, the Garden State Parkway, the George Washington Bridge, and Routes 4 and 17. The development is only three minutes from downtown Hackensack, 15 minutes from New York City, less than 30 minutes from Newark and Teterboro Airports, and is only a few minutes from several of Bergen County's major shopping malls.

Comprised of three buildings totalling over 475,000 square feet of first-class office space, University Plaza offers an extensive list of on-site corporate amenities required by major businesses, including several restaurants, banking, newsstands, copy center and travel agency services.
