Fired up for festival's opening day.

WORCESTER Festival 2009 launches tomorrow with a bang! The Guns of 214 (Worcestershire) Battery will be fired at 2pm at South Quay to get the event underway.

Among the opening day attractions are a duck race with around 1,000 plastic ducks, the Gugge 2000 Band and a spaceball ride.

On Sunday at South Quay there's a riverside artists market and face painting.
