Fired Up Inc. Elects Matthew Fairbairn & Reid Ryan to Board of Directors.

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 1, 2003

Fired Up Inc. announced today that Matthew J. Fairbairn, CEO of the restaurant group TLC South LLC and president and co-founder of TL Cannon Management Corporation, and Reid Ryan, CEO of the Round Rock Express Baseball Club, have joined its board of directors. Fired Up owns, operates and franchises Johnny Carino's Country Italian restaurants.

Fairbairn became a Johnny Carino's franchise partner in May 2002 and will develop 25 restaurants in upstate New York, Tallahassee, Gainesville and Jacksonville, Fla. Fairbairn has been an Applebee's franchisee for over 13 years and his restaurant group currently operates 49 restaurants. Prior to Applebee's, Fairbairn was with Burger King Corporation for 13 years and is a current member of the Johnny Carino's Franchise Business Council.

Ryan is a former professional baseball player in the Texas Rangers organization and is president and CEO of the Round Rock Express Baseball Club -- one of the most successful minor league franchises in the country. Ryan is credited with the idea of creating the Express and the person responsible for the design and development of the $25 million Dell Diamond complex.

Ryan is involved in many other business ventures including the Ryan family's Express Bank of Texas, which is scheduled to open this summer adjacent to the Dell Diamond.

Fairbairn and Ryan join Fired Up's other directors: Creed Ford III, chairman and co-founder; Norman Abdallah, president & CEO and co-founder; Ronnie Wallace, former president of Ben E. Keith foods; Larry Levine, founder of Chili's Bar & Grill; Peter Breck, managing director at Rosewood Capital; and Kyle Anderson, managing director at Rosewood Capital.

Fired Up Inc. was founded in 1997 by Creed Ford and Norman Abdallah. Fired Up currently operates and franchises 73 Johnny Carino's Country Italian restaurants. Fired Up Inc. currently has development agreements in place with 19 franchise partners to develop 463 Johnny Carino's both domestically and internationally over the next 10 years making Fired Up Inc. one of the fastest-growing companies in the restaurant industry.
