Fireball lift soccer trophy.
On the final week of the tournament, a deciding match took place between the two sides who were at the top of the table.
But it was Fireball, coached by Nancy Hill, who took the title. The champions took the lead twice before they were held by their opponents who settled in second place overall.
The match started with some high tempo seeing both goalkeepers making some good saves.
But the better chance fell to Ghassan of Bahrain Rangers who had a perfect chance to beat to in Fireball goal but goalkeeper Tim was up for the task.
Seconds later, Tom was called one more time to punch away a cracking shot from Karim to keep the score 0-0 half-time.
The second-half saw Bahrain Rangers continue their pressure on the league leaders but again Erik and Alex was solid in the back for Fireball in front of capacity of 100 supporters.
The game needed a goal after a long clearance by Alex the ball fell to Chris who played a one-two with David before he found himself in one-on-one situation with Bahrain Rangers goalkeeper Ali and very calmly David struck the ball to make it 1-0.
But with a mistake from Erik in Fireball defence allowed Ghassan to nick the ball and set Omar for an equaliser.
The game stayed close until five minutes remaining when Chris struck a 30-yard shoot and beat Ali in the Bahrain Rangers goal.
However, Fireball again failed to keep their advantage as Ghassan struck the second goal with a group of players and managed to pass Fireball goalkeeper Tom.
In the other game, Spain defeated Blackburn to claim third place overall.
After the match, Andy Dick EZ FiT Director said that he was very satisfied with the mini league turn out and quality of the match.
He thanked Gulf Air, the players' parents and to all EZ FiT Staff for their efforts, adding that they are presently working on the next mini league soccer.
Dick said the EZ FiT coaching classes resumed yesterday in Saar.
