Finnish producer price indices up in March 2006.

NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-18 April 2006-Finnish producer price indices up in March 2006(C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Statistics Finland, the Finnish state statistics agency, said on Tuesday (18 April) that the Finnish producer price index had increased by 3.8% from March 2005 to March 2006.

The export price index increased by 3.1% and import price index by 8.3% during the period.

Both the basic price index for domestic supply and wholesale price index increased by 5.3% from March 2005.

From February to March 2006 producer prices for manufactured products increased by 0.8%, mainly due to higher prices of electricity and copper.
