The Finnish government has been criticised for financing lower taxes by taking new loans.

The chairman of the left alliance Suvi-Anne Siimes has criticised the new government for its decision to lower taxes and take on more loans. She also pointed out that the last government actually managed to reduce the state debt, with a policy that was the opposite to that of the new one.

Siimes criticised the government in a column in the Finnish newspaper Turun Sanomat.
