Finnair Plc reports passenger numbers up in September 2007.
Finnish airline Finnair Plc reported on Tuesday (9 October) that the group carried 738,714 passengers in September 2007, up by 7.2% from September 2006.
The traffic performance of Finnair Group airlines increased by 16.8% in September, while the capacity grew 18.6%. This resulted in a passenger load factor of 75.0%, 1.1 points lower than last year.
Finnair scheduled traffic increased by 22.1%, as compared to September 2006. Total passenger load factor in scheduled traffic was 73.9%, down by 0.8 percentage points. The number of passengers carried was 632,864, up 9.2%.
Finnair's Tallinn-based subsidiary, Aero AS, carried 27,556 passengers, a decline of 55.0%, on routes between Helsinki and the Baltic capitals and within Southern Finland.
