Fine weather could boost charity event.

BRANDON Wood host the annual Lord Mayor of Coventry's Open Golf tournament on Sunday in what look sure to be perfect conditions for players of all abilities.

The tournament is one of many money raising events held throughout 2010-2011 by Coventry council figurehead Brian Kelsey and with the forecast bright and sunny, hopes are high of a significant boost to those charity coffers.

Councillor Kelsey will be at the picturesque course to help the day go smoothly and certainly the Brandon Wood fairways and greens are in tip-top shape, ready to welcome golfers from all around the region who aim to make an impact on the day and maybe post their name on the leaderboard.

Plenty of good and enjoyable golf is on the cards for what is hoped to be a successful day both on and off the course.

Entries are being taken right up to the day with the cost pounds 25 per person, although bookings for a tee off time are for a minimum of two players. The cost includes green fee, prize fund and food for all players.

For further information, contact Neil on 02476 543141 as soon as possible to ensure a tee-off time.
