Financial services group expands to 155,000 s/f.

Cushman & Wakefield announced that Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, the largest full-service investment bank that specializes in the financial services sector, has expanded its corporate headquarters by 35,159 s/f at 787 Seventh Ave.

KBW will sublease the entire 11th floor from National Financial Partners Corp. for a six-year term. KBW currently occupies approximately 120,573 s/f at 787 Seventh Ave. on portions of the fourth, fifth and sixth floors.

Cushman & Wakefield executive director Alexander M. Chudnoff and associate director Haley Klein arranged the transaction between the parties. "KBW was pleased to expand its presence at 787 Seventh Ave.," said Chudnoff. "The additional floor affords KBW with accommodations for its growth, in high-end space that was built-out less than two years ago."

Built in 1985, 787 Seventh Ave. is a 54-story, class-A office tower totaling more than 1.4 million square feet. In addition to KBW, major tenants include Wilkie Farr & Gallagher, BNP Paribas and Sidley Austin Brown & Wood.

Founded in 1962, KBW is widely recognized as a leading authority in the banking, insurance, brokerage, asset management, mortgage banking and specialty finance sectors.
