Finally Khan supports surgical strikes against Taliban.

Islamabad -- Taking U-turn, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan Monday showed green light for military action against Taliban militants.

Talking to media persons outside Parliament House, Khan said surgical strikes should be carried out against those militant groups who killed our soldiers.

PTI chief supported Swat type military operation in North Waziristan saying that as army had evacuated Swat valley before battle, similar action should be practiced in North Waziristan.

"Women and children must be pulled out from North Waziristan before military action as bombardment could result in collateral damage and after that more people would take arms against Pakistani state", Khan said.

He said there are 0.6 million civilian population of North Waziristan must be protected during military action against terrorists.

Imran Khan said 80 percent IDPs of Mehsud tribe have not returned to South Waziristan after military action in the agency.

He said door of dialogue should not be closed as there are many militant groups which want negotiations with the government.

PTI chief advised Taliban to announce immediate ceasefire to save the dialogue process.

Khan said Rustam Shah represents PTI in the government side of committee and according to him many factions of Taliban could bring in main stream by negotiations.
