Final stage of Syrian Speed Race and Hill Climb Championship concluded.

Damascus, (SANA) -- The 5th Syrian Speed Race, the 8th stage of the Syrian Speed Race and Hill Climb Championship, was concluded on Friday with the first place in the commercial production class going to Fadi Shahin of Jordan, while the first place in the special production class went to Ahmad Hamsho of Syria.The event took place at the Speed track at Zaman el-Kheir compound with Hamsho giving a strong performance with a lap time of 1.43.17 in the special production class, with Jordan's Barkif Shadian coming in second and Syria's Hussam Zabadani coming in third.In the commercial production class, Shahin managed a lap time of 1.54.9, 2 seconds less that Syrian Naaim Bakir who came in second and Iyad Afghani who came in third.The overall ranking of the championship remains unchanged by these results, with Syria Talal Mawlawi remaining at the top of scoreboard with Naaim Bakir in second place, both of which guaranteed their spot before the final stage.The 5th Syrian Speed Race is organized by the Syrian Automobile Club and sponsored by the Syrian Ministry of Tourism.

This year's race saw record participation with 35 drivers, 16 of them from Jordan, 17 from Syria, and 2 from Lebanon.H.
