Final list of martyrs and wounded of Revolution currently being finalized by commission in charge of file (Majdouline Cherni).

(TAP) - President of the General Authority of Martyrs and Wounded of the Revolution and Terrorist Operations Majdouline Cherni said, on Friday, that the final list of martyrs and wounded of the revolution is being finalized by the commission in charge of the file.

Speaking at a press conference held today at the government palace in Tunis, Majdouline Cherni added that the updated list reported 319 people killed and 3729 injured.

All the benefits were granted to the beneficiaries in accordance with the legislation ruling the file, she said, by means of compensation worth 40,000 dinars, in addition to recruitment in the civil service of one member of the families of the injured and martyrs of the revolution and guaranteeing free transport and care for the beneficiaries.

Compensation amounting to 6,000 dinars was granted for each wounded. The injured are being recruited in the civil service and benefit from free transport and care.

The State also decided to grant the beneficiaries among the martyrs and wounded of the revolution a lifetime monthly pension for those who have not received compensation, for compensation of moral and physical harm as a global capital and in light of the judgments of the courts. Families of martyrs benefit of social housing in accordance with the regulations.

According to Majdouline Cherni, the government is currently regularizing outstanding situations involving martyrs and wounded among single security officers (5 people), noting that 80% of unmarried martyrs families receive pensions.

The indemnities are granted to families under Law No. 51, with complementary finance law for 2013 on granting compensation for armed forces and customs victims of terrorist attacks.

Besides, exceptional measures were taken on the occasion of Eid El Fitr under which premiums amounting to 500 dinars will be given to all families of the martyrs of the revolution and terrorist operations. The injured whose health state is critical also receive a pension, said Majdouline Cherni.

Other premiums will be granted on the occasion of Eid El Idha, she added, and enable 72 people among the families of the martyrs in terrorist operations to perform the rites of the pilgrimage.
