Sunday Glorious 39 BBC2 10.45pm This 1930s-set thriller stars Romola Garai (pictured) as a politician's daughter who uncovers a conspiracy to ensure Britain does not oppose Hitler's regime .

Monday Speed 5* 9pm One of the best action movies of the 1990s, with a simple but brilliant premise - if the bus carrying Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock and a bunch of innocent bystanders slows down, it blows up.

Tuesday Bowfinger ITV2 11.55pm Ingenious comedy with Steve Martin on great form as a no-budget director who manages to get paranoid film star Eddie Murphy to appear in his alien invasion movie by secretly filming him.

Wednesday Rosemary's Baby Film4 1.15am Roman Polanski's occult thriller stars Mia Farrow, above, as a haunted lead, and her on-edge performance makes it genuinely unclear if she really is the victim of a Satanic cult with sinister plans for her unborn child - or if she is losing her mind.

Thursday The Time Machine Film4 5.10pm This sci-fi adventure stars Rod Taylor as a Victorian scientist who journeys into a terrifying future where humans have been divided into two species - one a gentle race dwelling on the surface of the planet, the other a subterranean tribe of cannibals.

Friday The Hurt Locker More4 9pm Jeremy Renner stars in this intense Oscar-winning Gulf War drama as a squad leader who has come to enjoy putting his life on the line, creating tension with his men, who fear his thrill-seeking will get them all killed.

Saturday Puss in Boots Sky Movies Premiere 8pm Antonio Banderas once again supplies dashing vocals in this comedy, as Shrek's swashbuckling feline gets his own movie, which puts him on the trail of a magical golden goose from a giant's castle.
