Monday Stardust Film4 6.35pm A delightfully offbeat fantasy adventure, with Charlie Cox going in search of a fallen star - only to find that it is in the form of Claire Danes, and she needs protecting from wicked witch Michelle Pfeiffer.

Tuesday Heavenly Creatures BBC1 11.40pm Melanie Lynskey and Kate Winslet (both pictured) star in this true story of two teenage girls who formed a friendship they were prepared to kill to defend.

Wednesday Westworld BBC1 11.55pm Yul Brynner stars as a seemingly unstoppable gunslinging android in this gripping sci-fi thriller, as robots in a Wild West theme park malfunction and begin to turn on the holiday-makers, leaving a tourist fighting for his survival.

Thursday The Long Kiss Goodnight ITV4 10.35pm Energetic action adventure starring Geena Davis as an amnesiac teacher who discovers that she used to be a government assassin. Like The Bourne Identity on e-numbers. With Samuel L. Jackson.

Friday Speed C5 9pm Keanu Reeves takes the lead in this thriller which is acclaimed as one of the best action movies of the 1990s. A simple but ingenious premise is used- if a bus drops below 50mph, it blows up, taking a disaster movie's worth of passengers with it.

Saturday Black Swan Sky Movies Premiere 10pm Darren Aronofsky's haunting drama stars an Oscar-winning Natalie Portman as a sheltered ballerina who must embrace her darker impulses to land a lead role, and her devotion takes a toll on her sanity.
