What's on the small screen this week THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL CHANNEL 4, 8PM Comedy, starring Maggie Smith, Judi Dench and Bill Nighy. A group of pensioners all with their own stories find friendship at an Indian hotel that turns out to be different to what they initially expected.

Sunday THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ITV2, 7.20PM Superhero action adventure, starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans. Peter Parker's research into his parents' disappearance leads him to the labs at Oscorp, where an accident results in him acquiring superhuman abilities. He decides to use his new powers to stop the creature known as The Lizard, unaware that it has more of a connection to his parents than he can imagine.

Monday LIVE AND LET DIE ITV4, 9PM Espionage action, starring Roger Moore, Yaphet Kotto and Jane Seymour. James Bond's 1973 mission takes him to New Orleans to investigate the recent deaths of a number of British agents. This sees him cross paths with hitmen, killers and the bizarre Baron Samedi, all while trying to get to the bottom of the murders. Eventually he squares up to Mr Big, a dangerous heroin dealer.

Tuesday CALL ME CLAUS CHANNEL 5, 3.40PM Festive family comedy, starring Whoopi Goldberg, Nigel Hawthorne and Brian Stokes Mitchell. Lucy is a hard-working but cranky producer for a home shopping network. She hires someone to play Santa Claus on the build-up to Christmas, but gets more than she bargained for when she discovers that he is the real Santa. To complicate matters further, he wants to recruit her in the role as Father Christmas.

PROMETHEUS E4, 9PM Sci-fi thriller, starring Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron. A team of scientists follow the cryptic messages found in cave paintings on Earth to a distant planet where they hope to discover more about the origin of humanity. However, what they discover is far more shocking, as strange creatures start to kill them off in horrific ways.

Wednesday Thursday BRICK MANSIONS CHANNEL 5, 9PM Action, starring Paul Walker, David Belle and RZA. An undercover mission becomes a matter of life and death for a Detroit cop who has been sent in to investigate a dangerous neighbourhood. Walled off from the rest of the city, it is the perfect breeding ground for crime, and the cop is looking to take down the crime lord who is calling the shots. He must team with an ex-con to pull it all off.

LEGEND FILM4, 9PM Crime drama, starring Tom Hardy and Emily Browning. Hardy plays both Reggie and Ronnie Kray as they expand their life of crime beyond London. However, personal and professional troubles soon see them turn on each other.
