Film; SUNDAY.

Lake Placid Sky MovieMax, 9.45pm As Bmovie adventures go, this isn't too bad and at a mere 82 minutes it never outstays its welcome.

The plot centres on a giant crocodile terrorising a lakeside community.

We have New York paleontologist Bridget Fonda doing a fine Ally McBeal impression; game warden Bill Pullman as the Roy Scheider Brody clone from Jaws; grouchy town sheriff (Brendan Gleeson) and Oliver Platt as a mix of Matt Hooper (Jaws) and Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park). Stereotypes perhaps, but all great performers. Ex-Golden Girl Betty White is also to be seen among the cast.
