Fil-Am thespian Joshua dela Cruz is new 'Blues Clues' host on Nickelodeon.
Nickelodeon has aired a sneak peek at "Blue's Clues & You!" recently and the gang has a Pinoy pal on board, Joshua dela Cruz.
The teaser was posted on the official Instagram accounts of Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. and it has garnered thousands of views as of writing.
The clip introduces the 30-year-old Joshua as the new host of the show following Steve Burns who left in 2002 and was replaced by Donovan Patton until 2006.
Four weeks ago, Joshua shared on Instagram the "Blue's Clues" scene where Steve is leaving to "go to college."
"I REMEMBER THIS EPISODE!! I felt so sad, almost as if one of my actual friends were leaving for college," he attached as the caption. "It was one of those moments where realize you're growing up and you won't stay a kid forever (in body anyways)."
"And if someone were to tell me I would grow up to be the New Host of Blues Clues and You I would have laughed. Growing up can be scary but the endless possibilities of what you can achieve are so much more exciting! I can't wait to bring the show to a whole new generation of clue hunters! Thank you @steveburnsalive and @probably_donovan_patton for having such a positive impact on my life! #bluescluesandyou #nickelodeon #rolemodels," he ended.
It was September last year when Nickelodeon announced that "Blue's Clues" has found a new pal for Blue in TV newcomer and Broadway actor Joshua. The brand-new title: "Blue's Clues & You" was also introduced.
"Dela Cruz will have a new generation of preschoolers searching for clues with the beloved energetic girl puppy, Blue. Production on Blue's Clues & You will commence this month in Toronto," part of the release read.
"Blue's Clues" will be coming to television in November on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr.
