WORK on a housing project intended for Tacirua East Stage Two has been delayed until August. The initial announcement by the Housing Authority was that work would begin in June.

But yesterday, HA manager marketing and public relations Shirley Tagi said works would begin in August.

No reasons were provided on the cause of the delay in the start of works on the 169 acres of land which was also expected to create employment for 100 locals.

A commercial contract of $50million was signed in early June this year between the authority and the China Railway First Company Limited for low-cost housing.
