Fidelity National's Property Insight launches Web application.
TitlePoint is designed to seamlessly combine multiple title plant databases located across the country, enabling title companies to research title and tax data in multiple states using standard title and document images, open and update title orders, and prepare comprehensive title search packages as part of a paperless work process.
To help title companies perform title research more efficiently, TitlePoint combines data with images of recorded documents, providing immediate access to scanned images of the original source data.
While displaying document images, TitlePoint's optical character recognition capability also enables users to convert sections of document images to text, allowing title searchers to more quickly and accurately prepare title research materials for examination, according to John Walsh, president of Property Insight.
"Our customers are increasingly under pressure to provide services at both the regional and national levels," said Walsh. "TitlePoint will provide a single point of access to nationwide data, will lower customers' operating costs, improve speed and efficiency, and support open connectivity."
TitlePoint deployment will initiate in California in 2005 and arrive on Property Insight's 10,000-plus users' desktops nationally during a phased rollout over the next two years.
