FiberCity delivers ethernet services to 20% of 1251 Avenue of the Americas.
FiberCity's private network has been operating flawlessly in the Mitsui Fudosan building since December, and currently serves over 20% of the building's 49 tenants.
Some of the building's high-profile companies that use FiberCity's unparalleled gigabit Ethernet private data network services include Commerzbank Securities, Fish & Neave, The National Hockey League, and Sentinel Real Estate. FiberCity's network has been operating with one hundred percent up-time reliability with no service interruptions to any of its buildings since, it was turned on in November 2000.
FiberCity's private fiber-optic network architecture and proprietary technology bring a revolutionary 4.8 billion bits-per-second of bandwidth to each building on the network. Each of FiberCity's customers is provided with an unprecedented 1 billion bits-per-second gigabit Ethernet connection -- the equivalent of 65.0 T-1 digital phone lines. The network enables a wide range of private communications services including wide area LANs, hosted thin-client server applications, storage area networking, and IP streaming of broadcast TV content, as well as Internet access at speeds starting at 100 million bits per second. All of these services are available and in use by FiberCity customers.
