Fertilizer transported, provided in transparent manner: NFC Spokesman.

LAHORE, July 02, 2009 (Frontier Star) -- National Fertilizer Marketing Limited spokesman has rejected reports published in a section of press regarding financial embezzlements in transportation and provision of fertilizer as baseless and unfounded and said that the item had been transported and provided in transparent manner in Rabi season. In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that institution has established a record by transporting 12000 tons urea daily. According to him, the department had made a program of distribution of one sack per acre wheat production and a committee comprising representatives of centre as well as provincial, Revenue department, provincial agriculture department, NFC, Utility Stores Corporation, local MNAs and MPAs devised comprehensive program of fertilizer distribution in Rabi season. The committee was to responsible for distribution of fertilizer in Rabi season, which was of the total fertilizer and the remaining 4/5 private was distributed industrial dealers of the country. He made it clear that embezzlement in distribution of fertilizer and involvement of any public office bearer was not possible.
