Fernando will keep improving says Rafa.

RAFAEL BENITEZ has warned Liverpool's rivals they have yet to see the best of Fernando Torres.

Torres took his goal tally to five for the season with his match-winning double against West Ham at Upton Park.

The Spain international put Liverpool ahead with a superb solo goal in the 19th minute and then headed the winner 15 minutes from time.

Torres has become one of the most feared strikers in world football since his pounds 26.5m move from Atletico Madrid two years ago, scoring 33 goals in his debut season before firing 17 in an injury-hit second term.

But the Reds boss insists there is much more to come from a player who constantly strives to improve his game.

"I think his commitment is fantastic," said Benitez. "We talk with him and analyse what he is doing well or badly and try to change certain things.

"He is always trying to get into good positions. All the strikers want to score goals and he is one of those players. He wants to be an important player for us and to improve."

It is this mentality Benitez credits with the 25-year-old's rapid acclimatisation to the Premier League.

Benitez added: "When we signed him, we had some names but we needed a player with the qualities to play in England, someone with the right mentality, someone young and keen to learn.

"Torres was the perfect answer. He wanted to come here, he wanted to improve and play in a top side."
