Fees of match officials, scorers enhanced.

LAHORE -- After increasing the match fees of players featuring in first-class and non first-class contests during the 2019-20 domestic season, the Pakistan Cricket Board has also enhanced the fees of match officials and scorers.

Recently, the PCB announced increase in players' remuneration under its revamped domestic cricket structure.

Responding to a query on match officials, a PCB spokesman said on Monday that the remuneration of officials (umpires and match referees) has been increased by 10 per cent while official scorers will get an increase of 11 per cent.

The pay raise for match officials and scorers is given after two years. Last time, the PCB increased the remuneration of umpires, referees and scorers in 2017 by 20 per cent.


Presently, an umpire supervising a first-class match charge Rs7,000 per day besides taking Rs1,500 for reaching a day before the start of the match. For Grade-II, an umpire draws Rs6,600 per day. While an official scorer draws Rs4,500 per day.
