I read with interest your recent article regarding Linda Watters and Detroit Commerce Bank ("Small bank, big heart," February 2001). As a customer of the bank, I thought would comment on the article and my positive experience with Ms. Watters and the bank.
I have found Ms. Watters to be extremely professional, personable and keenly aware of the needs of my business. Ms. Watters makes herself routinely available and, in fact, her office is open and immediately adjacent to the teller area. The access to the decision maker is both invaluable and untypical.
As to the bank itself, the staff is prompt, courteous and efficient. I have never belonged to a bank where almost the entire staff knows my name, greets me as I enter the bank and is familiar with my business and its needs.
The bank offers a wide variety of products and services neatly tailored to the needs of a cross section of the business community. Detroit needs more banks and staff such as Detroit Commerce Bank. I encourage your members to give it a try,

Love those Pangborn ties!
I enjoyed the article on Dominic Pangborn ("A touch of class," January 2001). Such an incredibiy diversified designer -- and those cool ties look so neat in photos!
