Federal Express to renovate distribution ctr.

Steven P. Papadatos Associates P.C. selected as the Architects The Federal Express Company is planning to renovate and restore their downtown distribution center consisting of 150,000 square feet.

The two-story brick facade structure located at 67 Clarkson Street is adjacent to the significant Tribeca Historic District in lower Manhattan. The facilities which service the Wall Street area will be designed by Steven Papadatos Associates P.C., and will include construction staging so as the facility will be in full operation during the renovation period.

The interior of the structure will be renovated to accommodate the requirements of Federal Express, including updating the Electrical, H.V.A.C. and Plumbing systems to conform to recent code requirements. Papadatos' plans include compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 and Local Law 58/X7 throughout the entire Distribution Center.

Lizardos Engineering Associates of Albertson, New York are the mechanical/electrical, fire protection consulting engineers.

The exterior masonry will be restored. Design has commenced, while no date has been established for completion of construction. A & T Construction Co. has been selected as the General Contractor.
