Fears over schools' 'mixed' report; EDUCATION.

An Aberdeen councillor has raised concerns about education at city schools.

A report has been published after Kingsford Primary and Nursery was visited by inspectors from Education Scotland.

They found a number of areas which caused concern including "weak" leadership of change.

Liberal Democrat councillor Steve Delaney said: "This is the first report to highlight any major concerns about Kingsford School, the previous ones all having been very positive.

"Don't use the hardworking teachers as scapegoats without looking at the bigger picture because, sadly, I do not expect this will be an isolated incident."

Council education convener John Wheeler said: "We acknowledge the report and are putting in systems to make improvements."
