Fears grow over missing man, 36.

POLICE are concerned for the welfare of a missing man thought to be in the Warwick or Bristol areas.

Harkiran Singh Degun was last seen boarding a train in Bedford bound for Bristol in April.

Bedfordshire Police officers have launched a missing person investigation and are keen to speak to people who know of Mr Degun's whereabouts.

The 36-year-old is described as being of Asian appearance, 6ft 2in tall and with a very stocky build.

He has a strong American accent, with his father being based in California. He wears glasses and has receding hair and a beard.

Police say Mr Degun is a Sikh and may have sought assistance from Sikh temples or organisations.

He has some medical knowledge having studied medicine in America. He has a possible connection with Warwick having mentioned trying to further his career in medicine by studying acupuncture in the town.

Pc Mick Collard of Bedfordshire Police's missing persons unit said: "We and his family are very concerned about his welfare and want to hear from him or anyone who might have information about his whereas.

"If Mr Degun sees this story we would like him to contact us or his uncle immediately."
