Fazl asks world to pressurize India to stop atrocities in held Kashmir.

ISLAMABAD, December 14, 2011 (Balochistan Times): Chairman of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee Maulana Fazl-Ur-Rehman has stressed the world community to pressurize India to stop atrocities in the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) as well as to resolve the issue, if it is serious for the human rights. Commenting upon the observance of the International Human Rights Day, Maulana Fazl-Ur-Rehman said in a statement issued here on Tuesday that the day was observed by the world community as a fashion only. He said that the world community followed their self-interest only and believed in formalities alone. The Chairman of Kashmir Committee said the state terrorism in the Indian Occupied Kashmir continued unabated and the world powers either remained silent or just said a few words to that effect. He said that the world community should be more active in the matter of human rights and the United Nations as well as the UN Council for Human Rights and international organizations for human rights, such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch etc. should play their role effectively so that the state terrorism of countries like India should be arrested. He said if India does not stop atrocities in the Occupied Kashmir its membership in the UN Council for Human Rights should be suspended. He said that the Indian forces are committing horrible crimes in the Occupied Kashmir, which cannot be described in words. He said that a Kashmir refugee girl narrated her story in the last session of UN Human Rights Council at Geneva, which made the audience weep and there are thousands of such boys, girls, women and men in the Kashmir refugee camps in Azad Kashmir, who have similar woeful tales. The Chairman invited the world organizations to visit Azad Kashmir, where they can meet these unfortunate Kashmiris and listen their stories.
