Fatale attraction; TELLY.

SEXY, scheming femme fatale Claire Brightwell spiced up this current series of the rural medical drama from day one.

She used her feminine wiles to seduce a rival applicant who beat her to the vacant nursing post at the Beeches, then blackmailed him into turning it down, allowing her to take it instead.

In this episode, Claire is accused of stealing from a patient, and finds support from her colleagues in short supply, while Alex (Maggie O'Neill) considers the possibility that Tom (Gray O'Brien) only wants her as a mother figure for baby Joe.

Will (Simon Shepherd) also has a lot on his mind, not helped by the worrying case of a modern-day Noah.

Eagle-eyed fans will remember Eva Pope from previous episodes of Peak Practice, in which she played the minor guest roles of Sally in 1997, and Karen last year.

Peak Practice Granada, 8.30pm
