Fast-Moving Rowhouse Fire Kills 4 Children in Philadelphia.

TEHRAN (FNA)- A fast-moving rowhouse fire in southwest Philadelphia early Saturday left four children dead, burned through a number of homes and displaced more than 40 people.

"The blaze destroyed eight rowhomes and engulfed at least 10 houses. There was no immediate word on other injuries or the cause of the fire," fire department officials of Philadelphia said, AP reported. "The fire started shortly before 3 am Saturday, and was brought under control by about 4 am," the officials added. Fire Commissioner Derrick Sawyer called the events "tragic." "This is a tragic, tragic day for the city of Philadelphia," Sawyer said, adding, "We lost four children today." The Red Cross said some 42 people had been displaced by the fire. Ee Ee Ee Ee
