Fashion and style: Dress rehearsal; Ollie Picton-Jones on dresses.

Byline: Ollie Picton-Jones

If you thought dresses were restricted to summer wardrobes, think again. They are currently enjoying a trans-seasonal revival, thanks to the latest "vintage-chic" trend. Teamed with a floppy, wide-brimmed hat and high-heeled boots, the dress hits all the right fashion notes while being versatile and highly wearable. Choose from satin empire-line styles, fitted, textured tweeds and frilly, feminine prints. Add a touch of individuality with bold jewellery, a colourful corsage, or throw on a fake fur jacket for added glamour. Whatever you pick, make sure you're the best dressed.
