Farmers protest in Lahore enters second day.
LAHORE -- A scores of farmers continued their protest on the second day on Thursday for the restoration of old price of fertilizer and urea at Thokar Niaz Baig in Lahore.
The farmers are demanding that previous prices of urea and fertilizer should be restored. They are also demanding of the government to announce price of sugarcane and payment of previous outstanding dues should be made immediately.
The protesting farmers have threatened to stage a sit-in at Mall Road in the provincial capital if their demands are not met. Due to the protest of the farming community, the flow of traffic has been disrupted badly. Heavy contingents of police are also present to counter an unwanted situation.
