Fans Feeling Good about Muse cover; POLL.

Byline: MIRROR REPORTER

ROCK band Muse have been hailed for the greatest cover version of all time.

Their rendition of Feeling Good was voted best cover by a poll of music fans.

The song, originally made famous by Nina Simone, has been covered by many artists.

Muse's version saw off competition from acts such as the Beatles, The Clash, Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Buckley.

The survey, conducted by car company Seat, found Britney Spears I Love Rock N' Roll to be the least favourite.

More than 15,000 people took part in the poll.

Second place went to the Beatles 1963 version of Twist And Shout. Although an Isley Brothers original, the Fab Four made the rock standard their own.

Third place went to legend Johnny Cash for his emotionally-charged cover of the Nine Inch Nails song Hurt.
