I must be missing something with the whole hoo-ha over Celtic's Green Brigade last week.

They asked if they could march, were told no - so they went ahead and tried to march anyway? Sod the social disruption and the cost to the taxpayer. Let's get out the iPhones and see if we can goad the police into a barney? The arguments over civil liberties and police kettling all seemed to stem from the simple fact that the marchers refused to take no for an answer in the first place.

Celtic chief Peter Lawwell must rue the day he gave them as big a platform as he did.
