Fan blog: Key win in relegation fight.

An emphatic win for Rovers in what was a genuine six-pointer as bottom side Brechin visited Cliftonhill.

Rovers didn't have it all their own way in this one and again needed to come from behind as Brechin were awarded the softest of penalties for an offense that only the officials seemed to see.

In fairness, the Angus side had started the game well and perhaps deserved the lead, but a quick-fire double from top scorer Declan Byrne turned the tide and sent Kevin Harper's men in at half-time ahead.

Two further goals in the second half put Rovers on easy street and the second of those was a goal of the season contender from Scott Roberts.

Some good work from Euan East on the left produced a cross which the midfielder met perfectly and slammed un unstoppable volley into the net.

The win sends Rovers up to eighth position and with three games in hand over their closest rivals and it looks like the boys are now showing form at the right time.

That's five points from the last three games and there's a decent chance of taking something next week at Ochilview.
