Fairbank extends deal with Halifax.
HUDDERSFIELD Giants product Jacob Fairbank has extended his contract with Championship outfit Halifax. The 26-year-old prop (above) joined his hometown club from the Giants for the 2016 campaign and The Shay club's Top Tackle award winner for the season has been rewarded with an additional year on his deal.
Fairbank is joined by two other players who head coach Richard Marshall has decided he wanted to tie up, with hooker Ben Kaye extending his original contract for another year, while utility back James Saltonstall has a further two years added to his deal.
"We're getting there now with the squad although there are still a couple of pieces of the jigsaw to fall into place," said Marshall.
The trio are added to next seasons squad list alongside Chester Butler, Brandon Moore, Luke Nelmes, Steve Tyrer, Will Sharp, James Woodburn-Hall and new signing Rob Worrincy, who has rejoined the club from Sheffield Eagles.
Leeds Rhinos have confirmed the signing of Featherstone Rovers 24-year-old prop Jack Ormondroyd on a three year contract.
