Fair Trade for our farmers; Letters.

FAIR Trade is something we associate with aiding people overseas to live a better life, and a most successful venture it seems to be.

Is there any reason why fair trade cannot be implemented in this country too? Business Briefing in the Coventry Telegraph on June 9 concerned the Dairy Farmers of Britain, suppliers of our milk, which is in receivership.

Farmers have suffered over the years and we, the customers, have benefited from low prices whilst the middle man has scooped the rewards and lined his pocket. Is it not time we were 'fair' to our farmers? Judith Cule, Armorial Road, Styvechale..
