Fainting pageboy 'fine'.

ONE pageboy collapsed in the middle of the Queen's Speech.

There was a loud thud as the youngster hit the floor in front of royals, MPs, peers and the nation's media.

Prince Charles and Camilla were among the first to notice, but the Queen carried on regardless as royal footmen carried the boy out of the chamber. Four pages of honour carry the Queen's train as she arrives at the Lords. They then wait in the chamber while the speech is delivered before performing the same role as she leaves.

The page fainted eight minutes and 53 seconds into the 10-minute speech. A House of Lords spokesman said: "One pageboy did faint slightly but he is now fine."
