Fahim for boosting trade relations with UAE.

ISLAMABAD -- Matar Ali Al Mansoori, First Secretary , Charge de Affairs, United Arab Emirates (UAE ) Embassy of Pakistan here called on Federal Minister of Commerce, Makhdoom Amin Fahim and discussed ways and means for further boosting trade and investment relations between the two brotherly countries.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim while highlighting the importance of trade relation with UAE said that the Emirates has become a grate trade partner of Pakistan with export to UAE reaching US $ 2292.3 million in 2011-12.

However, there is substantive potential for increasing the volume of trade, said a statement of Ministry of Commerce issued here today.

It was also mentioned that UAE is the 3rd biggest foreign investor in Pakistan after the United States and United Kingdom.

Pakistan's main exports to UAE are textile, chemical material and compounds construction materials including cement, cotton , fabrics, essential oil & perfumes, cotton yarn, fish, footwear, fruits & vegetables, jewellery gold and silver ware, machinery and parts, petroleum products, rice and sports goods.

Matar Ali Al Mansoori, emphasized exchange of trade delegations would enhance business and commercial opportunities in each other's country.
