Fadl starts rehab to catch Super Cup clash.

CAIRO: Ahly striker Mohamed Fadl is undergoing a rehabilitation program in order to overcome his groin problem and catch the Super Cup match against Harras Hodoud next Tuesday.

The Egypt frontman, who joined the Red Devils this summer from Ismaili, started light jogging on Tuesday, and is expected to shrug off his injury before the anticipated game.

"Fadl's condition is much better now and he's responding well to treatment," Ahly's medical staff chief Ihab Ali told the club's official website.

The 28-year-old is yet to make his debut with the Cairo team.

On the other hand, veteran midfielder Mohamed Barakat didn't took part in Tuesday's morning training session citing a stomachache.

According to Ahly's medical staff, the versatile ace will be able to participate in the night training of the same day.

Several players missed the morning session as they were working on issuing their visas to travel to England for Wembley Cup.

Hossam Al-Badri's side will face European champions Barcelona and Glasgow Celtic of Scotland in the friendly tournament.

Wembley Cup will be held in London at the New Wembley Stadium between July 24 and 26.
