Fabian, Doblada champs.

Ni?o Fabian and Paul Mark Doblada grabbed the spotlight after capturing the second leg of the 2014 FDR Underbone King Championship Series and the 2014 FDR Philippine Scooter Racing (PSR) Championship Series, respectively, held recently at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

Fabian, the reigning Underbone King, survived a heart-stopping photo-finish victory to win the 150cc Open crown by 0.002 of a second against John Emerson Inguito.

Doblada, for his part, completed the eight-lap race in 16 minutes, 27.182 seconds to rule the 180cc PSR race ahead of first leg winner Josh Reuben Tan and James Barcial.

Sharing the spotlight in the Underbone King series were Vrei-AR Suba, who ruled the 115 Open class over Juver Mirasol and Robert Matthew Ramos, and James Aeron Amporias, who won the 115cc Novice division over Aldrich Valencia and Jerico Gesmundo.

Aljon Valencia topped the 160cc PSR after turning back Mayco Carbonel and Aldeine Valencia, while Robert Tolentino prevailed in the 130cc PSR over Justinne Tolentino and Jason Baguasan.

Other winners were Eane Jaye Sobretodo (Honda Beat race), John Withmer Arnaiza (MTRT Club race), and McKinley Kyle Paz (Honda Dash race and the MTRT Club Race 115cc Scooter).

The next leg is set this weekend at the Clark International Speedway.

Both races are part of the 2014 Motorsports Championship Season presented by Petronas, sanctioned by the Underbone and Scooters Racing Association (USRA).
