Fab Willy is top dog..

Byline: By REBECCA EVANS

NOW a centre-parting may be deeply unfashionable - but it did not stop Willy the Tibetan terrier from winning the prestigious Best In Show title at Crufts last night.

John Shaw, 48, co-owner of six-year-old Willy, said: "It is unbelievable. This dog has done so well. It is the biggest accolade you could wish for.

"We may think about retiring him now because there is nothing left to do. Willy - full name Araki Fabulous Willy - pipped a year-old wire hair fox terrier called Peggy to the crown.

Her handler Richard Allen said: "The atmosphere in the ring was absolutely electric." This year's 116th Crufts, held at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre, attracted more than 25,000 dogs -and 143,000 humans - from all over the world.
