FURON SELLS REYNOLDS AND TAYLOR UNIT LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Furon Co.
(NASDAQ: FCBN) today announced it has sold Reynolds and Taylor Inc., based in Santa Ana, Calif., to Reinhold Industries Inc., a subsidiary of Keene Corporation, New York.
J. Michael Hagan, chairman and chief executive officer of Furon, said terms of the sale were not disclosed. Hagan said the divestiture was the first of six business units that will be sold as part of a previously announced corporate restructuring that will enable Furon to focus on its primary materials technology operations. Furon Co., headquartered in Laguna Niguel, is a manufacturer of components from specialized polymer materials for the industrial market.
