FUNK SOFTWARE: ADMITONE VPN CLIENT FOR POCKET PC.
AdmitOne VPN Client for Pocket PC implements IPsec and IKE (Internet Key Exchange) technologies to configure a secure end-to-end communications channel between a Pocket PC device and the corporate VPN server. The product fully protects the privacy of data being transmitted, and prevents the known security hazards of wireless communications including wireless eavesdropping and channel hijacking. The secure connection can be established over the Internet or within a corporation's wireless LAN.
"Windows-based handhelds open up a whole new world of options for computing in the enterprise, and can offer real benefits for mobile workers such as sales people, manufacturing personnel, and medical professionals," said Joe Ryan, vice president of Funk Software. "Of course, without adequate security, no network manager will deploy these devices widely. AdmitOne VPN Client for Pocket PC provides the advanced data security these managers require, while providing easy installation, simple deployment, and affordability."
AdmitOne VPN Client for Pocket PC is easily deployed across the enterprise - with a simple installation process and tools which facilitate deployment across numerous devices - and provides a high degree of configuration flexibility. It is designed for compatibility in a wide variety of network environments, and supports a number of VPN servers including those from Cisco, Nortel, and Check Point, and Pocket PC devices, including Compaq's iPAQ and Casio's Cassiopeia. AdmitOne's IPsec and IKE implementations fully conform to the latest RFCs for IPsec and IKE.
AdmitOne VPN Client for Pocket PC expands Funk Software's portfolio of access control and 802.1X security products, further strengthening the company's position in the network and wireless LAN security markets.
AdmitOne VPN Client for Pocket PC is the latest offering in the AdmitOne family of customizable IPsec and IKE security software. The family also includes AdmitOne IPsec and IKE Client toolkits for Windows XP, 2000, NT, 95/98, ME, Linux, and real time operating systems; and AdmitOne Server for deploying IPsec/IKE protocols in remote access, LAN-based or wireless environments.
