FUEL-TECH RECEIVES SEVEN ORDERS WORTH A TOTAL OF $2 MILLION.
Two of the contracts are from international customers, while the other five are from U.S. customers.
The first international contract is for Fuel Tech's NOxOUT Technology to be installed on a wood waste-fired unit in Denmark, marking Fuel Tech's first installation in that country. The second international contract is with a steel mill in Italy, and calls for Fuel Tech to install its NOxOUT Technology on a coke oven gas furnace. These contracts represent the second and third contracts that Fuel Tech has received from international clients in the past quarter.
The third contract, a repeat order from a satisfied customer, is a pre-construction engineering contract from a major Northeastern U.S. Utility for the design of an Amine Enhanced Fuel Lean Gas Reburn system. The fourth, a Letter of Intent, calls for installation of the NOxOUT Technology on two 375 Ton/Day municipal solid waste incinerator units at an Eastern U.S. facility. Of the three remaining contracts, two are for advanced engineering services, specifically for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models, and the third calls for Fuel Tech to supply engineering and test equipment for a Department of Energy (DOE) sponsored demonstration of ultra-low NOx technology.
Steven C. Argabright, president and COO of Fuel Tech, Inc. commented, "The receipt of these contracts is further indication of Fuel Tech's successful implementation of its growth strategy. We continue to grow internationally, receive repeat orders from satisfied customers, receive advanced engineering contracts, and win new contracts from U.S. utilities that are required to comply with federally mandated guidelines to reduce NOx emissions."
Fuel-Tech N.V. is engaged in the development and commercialization of proprietary air pollution control technologies. Its NOxOUT(R) Process is a proven technology that has established Fuel Tech as the leader in post-combustion nitrogen oxide (NOx) control systems. New technologies based on the NOxOUT(R) Technology have also been developed to improve boiler efficiency. The company's technologies are currently installed at more than 260 combustion units worldwide.
