FROST THREAT AT HAYDOCK; RACING.

HAYDOCK PARK must pass an 8am precautionary inspection tomorrow morning if it is to stage the valuable Tommy Whittle card.

Although the Newton-le-Willows venue iscurrently raceable and clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright is cautiously optimstic that they will be able to race.

However, with another cold night in store, he is refusing to take any chances and will walk the track at first light to see how things stand.

He said: "There isa scattering of snow on the track, but frost is the first issue. But we are quietly confident of getting through it."
