FROM DAWN TILL DUSK; Ready to see the light? Make-up that mimics the sun's rays at the start and end of a day is this season's prettiest trend.

If you're not familiar with what actual dawn light looks like (no judgement, we love a lie-in too), we're talking about bathing eyes and cheekbones in delicate oyster-shell tones.

1 First, get a 'dawn light' glow on your skin by mixing a luminiser into your base, then patting a little extra on cheekbones. Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter, PS30, is gorgeous.

2 Blend a pearlescent shade over your lids, the inner corners of your eyes and on top of cheekbones. Stick to just one shade, though.

3 Pearly, silvery tones suit fair, cool complexions, while more pinky and champagne hues flatter warmer or darker skin.

We used L'Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mega Volume Mascara, PS7.99, and L'Oreal Brow Artist X-Pert, PS5.99.

Vo 5 Complete this super-pretty daytime look with an understated nude liquid lipstick and dab a little of the same shade onto the apples of your cheeks.

Get a sundowner glow by using on-trend fiery coppers, rusty reds, burnt orange and burnished gold - just follow these hints and tricks

1 The big issue with sunset eyeshadow shades is making your eyes look sultry rather than slightly sore. This means getting the right balance of tones - it's all about the blend.

2 We're not suggesting you wear nothing but orange on your eyes, but a warm copper makes a great base shade for this look. We used L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eye Paint in Sunset Goals, PS5.99, on lids and into the eye crease.

3 Now use a rich dark brown eyeshadow to define the upper lash line and create a winged shape at the outer corners. Blend it into the copper shade and take it along the crease line.

4 Highlight the centre of the eyelid with a rich golden shimmer (max pretty points go to Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelee, PS34), and blend. Then add mascara.

5 Forget the old rule about only accentuating lips or eyes - this look is about playing up both with a tonal sunset palette. Try L'Oreal Paris Infallible Nudist Lip Paint in Strip, PS6.99.

Clarins Sunkissed Eyeshadow Palette, PS34 L'Oreal Paris Color Riche La Palette Nude in Rose, PS14.99 MUA Pro Eyeshadow Palette in Rusted Wonder, PS3.50 TOP TIP: Shimmery eyeshadows always look great swatched on the back of your hand, but that's not where you actually wear them, right? Always try on your eyes before you buy.

TOP TIP: If wearing copper on your eyes feels too warm for your skin tone, cool it with a dusky purple over the top. You'll still get that sunset effect, just muted and softer.
